Hiring a web developer you can still leave in two years

Whether you hire me or anyone else, get clear answers to these three first.

• Whose name is on the domain and hosting? If it is not yours, move it before the work starts
• Do you get the source code, and in what form?
• If you change developer, what would the next one need — and is any of it written down?

Anyone who answers all three without hedging is usually straightforward to work with.
