REDESIGN
Rebuild an old site without losing the rankings it already has
Repair or rebuild — how to tell
Signs it is a rebuild, not a facelift
- 01
You cannot edit the content
Every price, phone number or photo means waiting on somebody else, which means the site is always behind the truth. The real cost is the opportunities lost while waiting. - 02
It does not really work on a phone
Not just small text — buttons that miss, tables running off the screen, a menu you have to zoom to hit. On the device most people use. - 03
Nobody holds the code or the accounts
The previous developer is unreachable, there is no code, and nobody knows where the domain is registered. No amount of redesign fixes that; it needs starting again with everything back in the hands of the business. - 04
Slow enough that people leave first
A page that takes several seconds to show anything loses people before they read it, and it usually cannot be fixed by shrinking images, because the cause is how the page is assembled. - 05
The systems you need cannot be added
Booking, payments, a link to the system the office already runs on — and the answer is that the current site cannot do it. That is a ceiling a redesign does not lift. - 06
Browsers warn people about it
An expired certificate or a security warning has to be fixed before anything else, because nobody who sees it reaches your content at all.
